Portable Utility & Security Suite (PUSS) provides three functions: synchronization, backup and encryption/decryption. The functions themselves are quite simple with few parameters to tweak. Backups are compressed using either ZIP or 7-ZIP. The encryption/decryption function operates on an entire folder at once instead of individual files.
